Saily now offers a US +1 phone number inside its travel eSIM app. The number can handle regular calls, SMS, and verification for selected OTP and 2FA services. Saily currently displays a US$0.99 monthly number subscription, with identity verification required after purchase.

This guide uses Saily’s current product page and Help Center. Social-media testing can identify a topic, but pricing and verification compatibility should always be checked against official information.

What the Saily phone number is

Saily describes it as a US-based wireless cellular number rather than a data-only travel plan. The app can manage:

  • A travel data eSIM
  • A persistent US +1 number
  • Call and text packages
  • Remaining minutes and message credits

The number can remain the same while the travel data plan changes with your destination.

How the pricing works

ItemCurrent displayed priceWhat it covers

The US$0.99 headline price does not mean unlimited calls, texts and data. Review all three components before checkout.

Setup process

1. Confirm eSIM compatibility

Check that the phone can add an eSIM and is carrier-unlocked.

2. Choose a number in the Saily app

Open the latest Saily app, find “Get phone number,” and choose the number subscription plus an appropriate call and text package.

3. Complete identity verification

Saily requires in-app identity verification after purchase. Use your own valid government ID or passport and submit it only through the official app.

4. Configure the mobile lines

Follow the app instructions to install or enable the Saily eSIM. On a dual-SIM phone, check the default voice, SMS and data lines to avoid unexpected roaming on your primary carrier.

SMS and MMS limitations

Saily supports standard SMS using GSM-7:

  • Up to around 160 standard Latin characters per SMS
  • Fewer characters for non-Latin scripts, which may consume several credits
  • No MMS support

Pictures, videos, group messages, contact cards, subject lines and very long messages may be converted to MMS by the phone and fail.

Call billing

Incoming and outgoing calls use the same minute package. An unanswered call does not consume minutes; billing starts when the other party answers.

Someone calling your +1 number through a non-US carrier may pay that carrier’s international rate to the United States. Saily does not support international calling, call forwarding, premium-rate numbers or some short numbers.

OTP and 2FA support

Saily lists selected services it has verified, but does not guarantee universal compatibility.

Examples verified for OTP include Signal, Viber, WhatsApp and Airbnb. Examples listed for 2FA include Wise, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, Chime, Robinhood, Bunq, Gemini, eToro, Webull and Klarna. Revolut is listed for verification calls only.

Platform fraud controls can change. Do not make a new number the only recovery method for banking, email or another critical account until you have tested it and added backups.

Who it suits

It may work well for travellers who want data and a US number in one app, need a secondary number for reservations or ordinary communication, and have confirmed that their target service appears on the current support list.

It is a poor fit when you need guaranteed verification across all banks, MMS, call forwarding, heavy international calling, or a traditional carrier line as a permanent primary number.

Official sources

Summary

Saily combines travel data and a persistent US number in one app. The US$0.99 subscription is attractive, but calls, texts and data are separate products, and verification is not guaranteed on every platform.
